Everyone’s raving about Hairspray – the senior production before half-term which involved the combination of music, drama and dance to stage a spectacular performance enjoyed by the whole School, parents and special guests.

Set in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1962, it centres on the aspirations of teenager Tracy Turnblad, played by our Jessie, and her quest against the odds to dance on the famous American Corny Collins Show. It’s an inspirational story that teaches us all to fight for every human being’s equal rights.

Well done to Director Louise Cottage, Choreographer Amy Gerrard and Musical Director Steve Socci. As always, our thanks go to Friends of the School for organising the refreshments.
