Daniel Quinn - Director of Sport (1st XV Rugby, 1st VII Rugby and 1st VI tennis)
As a junior Daniel represented the county at rugby and tennis, and South-East England at hockey. He went on to represent the full county rugby team in 7s. Daniel is a level 3 tennis coach and level 2 rugby coach. Whilst working in New Zealand he coached the U20 Wanganui regional rugby team and led his school to consecutive national tennis finals.
Christine Lawrence (Athletics, U15 Netball, U14 Girls Hockey & Girls Rugby)
Christine has had an incredible and varied sports career. In athletics she represented Kent, South-East England, England and Great Britain in the javelin and just missed out on Olympic selection. She then turned her attention to rugby, where she represented London & South-East England and had trials for the England Elite 44 squad. Christine also performed at a very high level in cross-fit, where she achieved the rank of 67th fittest in Europe and achieved 1st place in the mixed pairs Battle of the Gods.
Josh Bryant (Hockey & Cricket coach)
Josh represented Queensland as a junior in cricket and went on to represent Queensland County at the National Championships. After moving to England he joined Folkestone Cricket Club and represented the Kent Cricket League in the Southern Counties Championship. Josh’s greatest achievements came in Fastpitch Softball, where in won a gold medal for Australia in the U19 World Championship. He went on to gain full international honours and in 1999 was named in the honorary ‘All World’ team.
Andrew Spight (1st XI Boys Hockey, 2nd XV Rugby & U15 Cricket)
As a junior Andrew represented the county at rugby and cricket. However, hockey turned out to be his main sport and having represented the British Universities team, he went on to gain full county honours, as well as playing in the National Premier Division for Canterbury. Andrew is a level 3 hockey coach and coached the Canterbury men’s first team in hockey’s top division.
Jo Towers (1st VII Netball, 2nd XI Girls Hockey, U14 & 15 Girls Tennis)
As a junior Jo represented the county at tennis and netball, and was also selected for the county team in hockey and swimming. Jo went on to represent the full county team at netball and is a qualified netball umpire.
Fiona Dunn (1st XI Girls Hockey, U15 Boys Hockey & Athletics)
As a junior Fiona represented the county at hockey and athletics, and was cross-country county champion. She has completed several marathons, with a personal best of 3 hours 18 minutes. Fiona is a level 2 hockey coach and coached Tavistock ladies first team to the National Premier Division 2, having previously captained the team.
Sarah Castle (Trampolining & Rounders)
As a junior Sarah competed at Southern England and county level in gymnastics. She is a qualified club coach and judge, and enjoys applying these skills during trampolining club at school.
Kerrie Fisher (U15 Girls Hockey, U 14 Netball & Athletics)
As a junior Kerrie played a variety of sports before taking up obstacle course events. Recently she has been ranked 2nd in the UK, 11th in Europe and finished 3rd in the team World Championship. Kerrie is a qualified hockey, netball and athletics coach.
Mitch Halpin (U14 Rugby)
As a junior Mitch represented the county at rugby. He went on to play for Hartpury College 1st XV and was a member of the Wasps Academy.
Robert Lawley (Basketball)
Rob represented the county as a junior in basketball and went on to train with the Canterbury Jazz basketball team.
Ed Pallant (U12 Rugby, U13 Boys Hockey & U15 Cricket)
As a junior Ed represented the county at rugby and was part of the national judo squad. He is a level 2 rugby and hockey coach and coached Exeter University’s 1st hockey team
Steven Rowe (U13 Girls Hockey, U14 Boys Hockey & U14 Boys Cricket)
Steven played 1st grade cricket in Australia before moving to England. In England he represented the Kent cricket league and he is a level 2 cricket coach.
Bethany Windwood (Cross-Country & 1st VI Tennis)
As a junior Bethany represented the county at tennis and cross-country. She is a level 2 tennis coach and currently competes in Kent’s top tennis division.
