A typical day at the Duke of York’s Royal Military School begins with a hearty breakfast then Assembly, a short Chapel service or Tutor Time.
Two, 1 hour long lessons are followed by a 20-minute morning break, two more lessons, a nutritious lunch in the main School Dining Hall, then two more lessons.
Afternoon lessons are followed by a games session or club activities. Physical Education plays a key role at the school, and the sports slot might be anything from rugby or tennis to swimming or athletics, taking advantage of the school’s outstanding facilities. After supper and before prep, it’s free time and many students chat on-line or by phone with Mum or Dad, and eventually it’s time for bed and lights out. Below are examples of the Academic, Boarding and Meal Timetables.
