Over Twenty A Level Courses

At our military academy, pupils who join the Sixth Form in Year 12 are able to choose from a range of over twenty A Level courses. In most cases, four subjects will be studied to AS Level in Year 12, alongside PSHE, before concentrating on three subjects to A2 Level in Year 13, whilst also studying either AS General Studies or Critical Thinking. Once again we provide every support through the delicate decision-making process, with the Head of Sixth Form giving presentations at the end of Autumn term to Year 11 pupils and making their choices over the Christmas break.

‘Insight into Business’ Conference,

Year 12 pupils benefit from a full and active careers education programme including a two-day ‘Insight into Business’ Conference, UCAS workshops, Higher Education Fair visits and Interview practice. Pupils are actively encouraged to take up work shadowing during their holidays and to make full use of the excellent materials and on-line access within the Careers Library.

These activities give them insight into the choices available to them after Year 13, making sure they are well-informed and can make positive decisions about their future on leaving school.
