Careers Guidance Via Tutors

Careers guidance via tutors and external advice is a consistent thread running through school from Year 7 to Upper Sixth.

Full and Active Programmes

Year 12 pupils have a full and active programme including a two day ‘Insight into Business’ Conference, UCAS workshops, a Higher Education Fair visit and interview practice. Work experience is encouraged during school holidays, to give pupils a taste of working life. These activities give them insight into the choices available to them after Year 13.

We have a resource centre and library which has commercial and other materials as well as a wide range of computer based material and internet access for use by pupils and staff.

Expert Guidance in Completing University Applications

Our record on getting our pupils into university is extremely good. We provide expert guidance in completing university applications and provide opportunities for Oxbridge entrants. On results day in August we offer a student support service by telephone or email, to ensure that students secure their university places.

Our comprehensive careers programme ensures that pupils have all the information they need to make positive decisions about their future on leaving the school.
