Tuesday 17 May saw a group of 20 musicians from the Duke of York’s who ranged in age from 11-18 give an afternoon concert to all members of White Cliffs.

The programme ranged from items sung by the junior Girls’ Choir to a guitar duet with two numbers composed by the performers. One of the many highlights of the afternoon was to be able to listen again to the two Duke of York’s performers who had won their categories in the Musician of the Year competition 2011. Held in the Easter term and adjudicated by the Director of Music of Boys’ Grammar School it took place in the Nye Hall at the Duke of York’s.

White Cliffs Primary is part of the Astor Federation of Schools. The Astor Federation has recently signed a collaborative partnership agreement with the Duke of York’s which looks forward giving all our pupils lots of exciting opportunities in the future.
