All Year 11 and Year 12 students meet with our independent careers advisers, who provide impartial guidance. These sessions take place before application deadlines. Students and parents/carers may also request an appointment directly.
A range of helpful resources is also available on our website to support conversations with your child about career aspirations. Each Careers page includes useful links designed to help student begin exploring potential future pathways.
It may be useful to explore sites such as National Careers Service or Career Box together with your child. You can also access the CXK Resource Hub.
Our Careers Team is readily available to support students, parents/carers, and employers. Please email us with any questions about career pathways to Mr King or Miss Galer.
We also welcome employers who can support our Careers Programme. In line with our Provider Access Statement, we are keen to hear from organisations and guest speakers. If you would like to deliver a “Spotlight on Careers” talk or participate in our Careers Fair, please get in touch with the team.
Our CEIAG document can be accessed here, and our Provider Access Statement is available here. This meets our statutory duties under Section 42B of the Education Act 1997 (the ‘Baker Clause’).
In 2024/25, we have hosted regular visitors to the school for assemblies and classroom sessions, including alumni. We aim to ensure pupils are exposed to a wide variety of career journeys, both traditional and non-traditional.
Additional Information for Parents can be found here.
