Exam Results

In acknowledgment of our outstanding academic achievements, the school has proudly received two SSAT Educational Outcomes Awards. Our commitment to supervised prep, Saturday morning lessons, and proactive support for each student’s academic excellence, contributes to upholding our high academic standard.

 

2024 Key Stage 4 Results (GCSE)

Students at The Duke of York’s Royal Military School make outstanding progress academically. With students achieving over a half a grade higher (0.68 progress) than the grade they were predicted following their Key Stage 2 results.

At our top performing school, 70% of students achieved 9-5 at GCSE. Individual successes include: Elijah who secured six Grade 9, two Grade 8, one Grade 7; Rares with four Grade 9, three Grade 8, one Grade 7; Charlie gained three Grade 9, four Grade 8; Indiana with two Grade 9, five Grade 8, two Grade 7.

Among the individual success stories there are the fourteen students who have been awarded academic scholarships for their outstanding GCSE results, and seven students who have been recognised for their athletic talents with sports scholarships. Four of these students will join the school’s rugby performance pathway in collaboration with Ealing Trailfinders RFC, showcasing the school’s commitment to nurturing both academic and sporting excellence.

2024 Key Stage 5 Results (A Levels)

Well over half of all of grades being A* – B, BTEC with an average of Distinction*, and 85% achieving A* – C grades.

In 2024, 95% of our students are moving on to university, with 73% achieving their aspirational first choice and 40% of our students moving to Oxbridge and Russell group universities. Several students will begin military careers, while others have chosen apprenticeships, including Daniel Ibikunle who will begin an apprenticeship in Nuclear Engineering, whilst India Allen will begin her career at BAE Systems. Outstanding success includes: Dara Boyejo A*, A*, A, A going to read Medicine at Queen Mary’s; Reece Beaman A*, A*, C to read Maths at Warwick; Darian Wollgast A, A, B, C to read Astrophysics at Edinburgh; Joanna Bowtell A*, A, C to read Geography at Cambridge University.

Pupils say the support is ‘great’; parents tell us ‘they achieve beyond expectations'.
