The Duke of York's Royal Military School

A co-educational boarding school for students aged 11-18

Fees and Scholarships

Our fees are highly competitive due to our status as a state boarding school. You will only be responsible for covering the boarding provision, as the state covers your child’s education costs. This means your child can experience the lifestyle of an independent school at a significantly reduced rate.

Boarding fees for the academic year 2024-25: £7,110 per term (there are three terms per academic year).

If you are a member of the British Armed Forces and are eligible for Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA), you will only pay 8% of the boarding fee. CEA assistant service personnel in ensuring continuity of education for their children, particularly during frequent assignments both domestically and overseas.

Boarding fees for the academic year 2024-25, for those eligible for CEA: £569 per term (there are three terms per academic year).

For further information or advice on education matters, including CEA eligibility, the Education Advisory Team (UK) are available via email RC-DCS-HQ-EAT@mod.gov.uk.

Rugby Scholarship
Rugby Scholarships are granted to students who exhibit excellence and unwavering commitment to the School’s sport, while also actively contributing to the School community. The development of our Rugby Scholars is facilitated through our collaboration with Ealing Trailfinders.

Sports Scholarship
Additionally, we provide Sports Scholarships for both boys and girls, open to those who display remarkable abilities in various sports. These Scholarships are assessed based on current performance as well as future potential, ensuring that promising athletes have the opportunity to excel and contribute to our sporting community.

These Scholarships can offer a reduction in fees or assistance with the cost of sports kit and equipment or travel. The level of support will be decided by the Director of Sport and Head of Rugby.
