Support Us & Alumni

Whether you have had a child or even a grandchild at the Duke of York’s Royal Military, you are welcome to become a member of our team. The Parents & Friends of the School aim to: Raise funds for the benefit and support of the students. Foster a close relationship between parents and the School. Create a social environment for parents to connect and support each other. Raise awareness of and promote the School’s ethos and values and as a centre of excellence.

What do we do?

Throughout the year The Parents & Friends engage in various events and fundraising initiatives such as:

• • Supporting tips and events for the Houses and Year groups
  • Sponsoring cultural activities such as the Annual Inter-House Song Competition and Musician of the Year Competitions
  • Contributing towards social events, extracurricular and House activities for example the Year 11 and 13 Proms and House parties
  • Providing support during Grand Day and other school events by running stalls, raffles and refreshments
  • Second Hand Uniform Shop (link to Uniform and Sportswear)
  • E-book School Library yearly subscription for all students

How can you help?

Volunteers can help in many ways as it is not always possible to attend meetings or have the time to be on a committee. Ideas, support for functions, offers to assist at events or donations of raffle prizes are always appreciated.

What is the Number Club Lottery?

Our main source of income is our Lottery, and we ask you to consider making a monthly standing order for lottery tickets. £1 buys one lottery ticket with a chance of winning the monthly prize of £100!

The remaining income generated is retained and all goes back towards our student fund.
