Here’s the good news—we’re a state boarding school. That means you don’t pay tuition fees. Education here is funded by the government, just like any other state school. The only cost to parents is for boarding—and we work hard to keep that as affordable as possible. This means our fees are significantly lower than independent schools.

For our boarding fee, your child gets an exception education, a rich co-curricular life, a stable and supportive home-from-home, and access to all the opportunities that make being a ‘Dukie’ so unique.

Our highly competitive fees are listed below. Please note there are three terms in each academic year.

Fees are subject to an annual review. Our fees for 2026 – 2027 will be published by May 2026.

Applications are currently open for September 2025 entry.

Fees for Forces Families

If you are a member of the British Armed Forces and are eligible for Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA), you will only pay 8% of the above boarding fee. CEA assists service personnel in ensuring continuity of education for their children, particularly during frequent assignments both domestically and overseas.
