In collaboration with our catering partner, Thomas Franks, students enjoy a wide range of opportunities, including healthy eating workshops, cultural food experiences, cookery classes, and visits from nutritionists.

Health & Wellbeing
The wellbeing of our students is at the core of all we do at The Duke of York’s Royal Military School. Our robust pastoral structure, facilitated through a well-established House system, ensures students have the support they need. Consisting of a committed tutor team, residential boarding staff and designated matrons, this system ensures holistic support for our students.
With an array of staff members available, students always have someone to turn to for assistance and guidance. Our Vice Principal (Pastoral) collaborates closely with the School’s Safeguarding and Wellbeing teams to cultivate a positive and comfortable atmosphere for all students.
Parents can rest assured knowing that our house staff are deeply familiar with and attuned to each student under their care. Students swiftly cultivate a sense of belonging, flourishing, and evolving within a nurturing atmosphere. They rise to fresh challenges with confidence and readily seize every opportunity in an environment that prioritises safety and security.
Our fully equipped Medical Centre, staffed by a team of qualified clinicians, offers continuous care throughout the term.
