Admissions

Many independent schools can charge about £10,000 per term; for 2020 / 21 we charge just £5,116 per term (£15,498) as you only pay for boarding fees as your child's education is paid for by the state. If you are serving and qualify for Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA) you will only pay £413 per term (£1,240 per annum).
References from previous schools are mandatory, and if full disclosure has not been made by parents or schools regarding bad behaviour but later transpires, we reserve the right to withdraw our boarding suitability assessment which is essential to gain a place at DOYRMS.

Children from all backgrounds
We have children studying with us from many different backgrounds; most of our students have parents in the armed forces and benefit from the continuity of education, some have parents who work long hours and would prefer for their child to be studying in a safe environment, while others live in Kent but like the ethos of our school and want their child to experience a well-rounded quality education. But all students benefit from the excellent pastoral care and high academic standards that our school provides.
We encourage parents to come and visit us, to be shown around the school and the boarding houses, and we always let one of our students do the tour, so that you and your child can ask any questions that you might have. Our students often say how much they like their 'Dukie' community and you will soon understand what they mean when you visit us.
